If a child is identified for and placed in a Title III supplemental program, LEAs (the District) must inform parents.
In Stroudsburg we offer Parents have the option of including their children in these services.
A separate parent notification is required when an LEA fails to meet AMAOs in any fiscal year.
In Stroudsburg, the district has met the state’s Annual Measurable Achievement Objectives (AMAOs) each year. When AMAOs are met, no special notification is required.
Notification must be provided in an understandable format and, to the extent practicable, in a language the parent can understand.
In Stroudsburg, we use a translation service called TransAct, which provides translated state and national forms and documents. Other notices and documents are translated as needed. Having 29 different languages spoken in the district, it is challenging to find interpreters and translators. Volunteers are welcome. Please contact your child’s school to volunteer your services or contact Madeline Acosta, Director of Elementary Education and Federal Programs at macosta@sburg.org.
